The P. B. Kulkarni Foundation is a philanthropic organisation registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act (2013). The Founder and main promoter of the Foundation is Mr P. B. Kulkarni, a well-known and highly respected business executive closely associated with the Indian cement industry for the past five decades.
Mr Kulkarni, who is now retired, regards his contribution to the growth and success of M/s Ambuja Cements Limited, one of India’s premier cement companies, as the high point of his long industrial career. Mr Kulkarni was associated with Ambuja Cements for nearly 30 years, out of which he was a Whole-Time Director on the Board of Directors of the company for more than 10 years.
The P. B. Kulkarni Foundation is head-quartered in Belagavi (formerly Belgaum). The focus areas for the philanthropic activity of the Foundation are Skills, Health, Education and Rural. The Foundation plans to launch several rolling programmes as well as time-bound projects in these focus areas with a view to realising high-impact, socially beneficial outcomes.
